Patient Population: Post cardiotomy, cardiology Interventional, Post Vascular Surgical/Interventional, Advanced heart Failure. Cardiac ICU - CABG, CRRT, Impella, Swan, AIBP, etc. This unit operates as a Cardiac Universal Bed (CUB) in that they have Cardiac ICU and Cardiac Telemetry patients. All nurses on the unit must be comfortable caring for both. 

Required Experience: Candidates MUST have minimum of 1yr of true, recent ICU RN experience.

Shift: FT/Nights | 7p-7a | Three 12hr shifts per week, rotating weekends

Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse, will oversee patient care provided by the healthcare team using a professional practice model. Your responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses.

• You, as an RN, will conduct detailed clinical assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, create, implement, and evaluate care plans. Adjust plans to reach desired outcomes.

• You will help educate patients, families, nurses, and community members to empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices. Assess and document learning needs regularly.

• You'll use different strategies for problem-solving with patients, families, and staff. Recognize limitations and prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery.
