Specialty Nurse - Cardiac Neurodevelopment
The Cardiac Neurodevelopment Specialty Nurse is responsible for an area of specialized nursing practice. The Cardiac Neurodevelopment Specialty Nurse will be responsible for ensuring that developmentally high-risk patients with heart disease are identified, scheduled for neurodevelopmental assessments, and connected with necessary neurodevelopmental and psychological interventions. The Cardiac Neurodevelopment Specialty Nurse will also coordinate and support developmental care initiatives in the cardiac inpatient settings (Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and Stepdown Unit).
