Overview

St. Luke's Health System in Meridian is seeking a Full Time (0.9 FTE) RN to join our Medical Imaging/Interventional Radiology/Pain Management team. The will be a hybrid role between Interventional Radiology and Pain Management.

Our Interventional Radiology Service Line uses minimally-invasive image-guided procedures including CT, MR, US, and Fluoroscopy to diagnose and treat diseases in nearly every organ system. We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a critical care and/or emergency room environment. Our Interventional Radiology RN is primarily responsible for providing high quality, skilled nursing services to assist patients to achieve optimum health, functional health status and safe passage pre and post procedure while administering conscious sedation and assisting with general anesthesia support for interventional procedures including but not limited to: IR Stroke procedures and Aneurysm Coiling interventions, Chemoembolization Deliveries, Gastrostomy Tubes, Hemodialysis Access, Uterine Fibroid Embolization, IVUS and EKOS procedures, CT Microwave Ablations, MRI Pediatric exams, IR Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunts.

This role will also focus on Pain Management procedures which are performed under fluoroscopy. Procedures include: Epidural Steroid Injections, Medial Branch Blocks, Radiofrequency Ablation procedures, and Pain Stimulator trails.

Day/Hours: Monday - Friday, 2-10 hour shifts & 2-8 hour shifts. No holidays, weekends. Occassional on call.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.
• Initiates assessment based on the patient's problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
• Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
• Manages care of patients.
• Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities
• Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
• Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• • Education: Nursing Degree
  • Experience: 1 years' experience
  • Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in ED, ICU, and/or CCU
