Job Summary:
The Neurology Department at Westchester Medical Center (WMC) is seeking an enthusiastic neuro-oncologist to join our rapidly growing faculty and focus on clinical care and program development to serve the neuro-oncology needs of patients in the Hudson Valley Region. The successful applicant will join our rapidly expanding, dynamic Department of Neurology to provide high quality care for adult patients in the inpatient and outpatient setting with complex neuro-oncology needs. They will have the support of a growing faculty of subspecialists and enjoy a close working relationship with our Departments of Neurosurgery, Neuroradiology, Neuropathology, Radiation Oncology and Oncology. We are a high-volume primary brain tumor practice that draws from a tertiary hospital home base and a geographic alliance of 9 satellite hospitals. WMC has the highest volume clinical brain tumor practice outside of NYC and includes a multidisciplinary tumor board where all patients harboring CNS tumors are discussed in a collaborative environment. We currently have two active clinical brain tumor trials and are nearing agreement as a site for a Phase 2 glioblastoma-derived immunotherapy trial and two Phase 1 trials. We are one of a few institutions nationally offering GammaTile brachytherapy for recurrent GBM. We are also one of the few centers nationally to utilize advanced MRI connectomics software for preoperative brain tumor mapping. We offer laser ablation for brain tumors, both index and recurrent GBMs and use Gleolan fluorescence (5-ALA) for GBM resection.
Qualifications / Requirements:

We are seeking applicants with excellent clinical and communication skills who enjoy working in a dynamic team, are interested in teaching of medical students and residents and are excited by the prospect of building a Neuro-oncology service. A minimum of 5 years' experience in neuro-oncology is required. The successful candidate must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New York State.
