The Department of Surgery at the University of Minnesota and the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital invite applications for a Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon position. Candidates seeking an academic career in Pediatric Cardiac Surgery at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor are encouraged to apply. Available tracks for Assistant or Associate Professor are Tenure or Academic. Rank and Track will be determined according to the qualifications and interest of the candidate.
Position Highlights:
- Deliver excellent clinical care and provide exemplary patient and family experience.
- The incumbent will be expected to work within a collaborative environment and actively participate in clinical activities including surgical intervention, pre and post-operative care, transplant, and routine care conferences.
- This position is responsible for delivering excellent clinical care and an exemplary patient and family experience within a fast paced and collaborative environment located at the University of Minnesota's Masonic Children's Hospital. Specific clinical duties include but are not limited to: Surgical intervention, Pre and post-operative care, Transplant and Routine care conferences.
- The division is proud to announce that Pranava Sinha, MD, has been appointed as the new Division Chief and Professor of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the University of Minnesota Medical School and the M Health Fairview Masonic Children's Hospital. Dr. Sinha is a worldwide expert and leader in children's heart care, including congenital heart defects and pediatric heart transplants.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited ACGME cardiothoracic surgery and/or pediatric cardiac residency and/or fellowship-training program.
- BC/BE with the American Board of Thoracic Surgery or equivalent.
- Certification or eligibility in the Subspecialty of Congenital Heart Surgery.
- Licensed or ability to acquire medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota, and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
- Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of the VISA.
- The ideal candidate will have dedicated pediatric cardiac surgery experience and an interest in developing a clinical and academic career specializing in neonatal and infant cardiac surgery, pediatric heart transplantation and ventricular assist devices, and adult congenital cardiac surgery.
