Carilion Clinic, a physician-led, multi-specialty clinic of 600+ physicians located in Roanoke, VA, has an excellent opportunity for a BC/BE Neurologist with fellowship training in Epilepsy to join our growing Level 4 Comprehensive Epilepsy Program. Based in Roanoke, Virginia, Carilion Clinic is an award-winning, community-based network of seven hospitals, primary and specialty physician practices. The Neurology department at Carilion Clinic has a residency program with 3 residents per year. There are exciting opportunities to expand clinical research including clinical trials and translational as well as basic neuroscience research collaboration with the incredible faculty at the Fralin Biomedical Institute at VTC as well as the Virginia Tech University in nearby Blacksburg. As a member of the neurology faculty at Carilion Clinic, you will have an appointment at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine located on our campus.

Up to 100% Epilepsy for those that are interested
Dedicated epilepsy clinics including pregnancy and epilepsy clinic
ABRETT certified EEG lab with capabilities in routine EEG, Ambulatory EEG, Evoked potentials, Long-term EEG monitoring in ICU
Four bedded EMU for Phase 1 as well as Invasive EEG monitoring for localization of epileptogenic zone
Most advanced imaging and technologies for epilepsy care including 3T MRI, PET scan, ictal SPECT scan, Wada test, ROSA system for electrode implantation and Visulase for minimally invasive laser ablation therapy
Experience with all modalities of treatments for medically refractory epilepsy patients including medication, possibility of clinical trial participation, diet-based therapies, neuromodulation with VNA, DBS, RNS and respective surgery
Teaching: Neurology residency program (3 per year) as well as Year 3 and 4 Med Students, Rotations from FM, IM, Psych, and Neurosurgery, PA and NP students
Ongoing research with clinical trials, investigator-initiated studies and collaborative research with Neuroscientists at Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC as well as Virginia tech
