Schedule- Full Time- 40hrs/ week- Variable schedule per surgical volume and needs of unit- 5 X8hrs or 4 x10hrs No call required but may need to fill in on occasion to cover for team if need arises. Consistently promotes a positive work environment by being visible and available to all levels of staff and customers. Collaboratively works with nurse leaders in maintaining productivity, supporting hospital initiatives and ensuring units/departments are appropriately staffed. Will assist in identifying staff development needs with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education.Important to this role is understanding the leadership expectations of this position and the entire leadership team throughout Centura Health. Day to Day: Assist with the day-to-day operations of the unit. Support the Charge Nurse and the surgical teams. Direct oversight of associates to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and nursing practice. Coach the staff to build confidence and encourage professional growth. Assist in the development and implementation of educational programs/ practices for department associates. Model professionalism and leadership within the department. Accountable to the Manager and Director for surgical benchmarks such as turnover times and first case on time starts. Will have approx. 25 direct reports. Responsibilities may include conducting training for Clinical Coordinators, Charge RNs, and staff members. Oversight of the staff schedule and call schedule. Might also be needed to fill occasional gaps in staffing. This position will also be eligible for the Clinical Ladder21 OR SuitesApprox. 600-700+ cases per monthWhat You Bring/Job Requirements:In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:* 2 years clinical RN experience* 6 months - 1 year clinical leadership experience, preferred* Previous OR Experience required* Experience across multiple service lines preferred* A degree in nursing (BSN or MSN), required* High School GED required* RN License to practice in Colorado or Kansas as applicable* BLS from the American Heart Association required* Additional Life Support Certifications per Department Standards; e.g. NRP, EFM, TNCC, etc.* Appropriate facility identified national certification within one year of becoming ANM strongly preferred.* Credential: ANM-ANCC Approved.* Clinical and/or Leadership Certification strongly preferred.Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)Your Connected Community:When people and places align, incredible things happen.
