Our heart and vascular team takes a personalized approach to diagnosing and treating a wide variety of conditions, including:  arrhythmia and heart rhythm disorders, Afib, congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart attack, heart failure and vascular and arterial disease.  Weâ™ve earned a number of data-backed awards for heart care thanks to our high standards of performance.  We are active and award-winning members of a number of American College of Cardiology registries, which helps us improve patient outcomes and lower the cost of care.  We are proud to be:

Our Electrophysiology (EP) lab is one of the newest labs in Boulder County and the second EP lab in the north metropolitan area.  Our lab allows us to offer the most advanced treatments for Afib and other heart rhythm disorders.  Our lab includes the newest technology, such as:

• A robotic x-ray system


• Latest 3D mapping technology


• Peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventional treatments

Your day.

As an Invasive CV Tech / Cath Lab Tech you need to know how to:

• Provide technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures. Provide patient care under the supervision of the RN.


• Assist physicians in radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures, act as scrub assistant, maintaining sterile conditions during clinical procedures. Operate imaging equipment and work in the control room monitoring and documenting procedure images and events.


• Educate patients and families regarding the procedure and about the expectations of the procedure. Teach patient and family about pre and post procedure physical conditions.


• Assist in maintaining order and cleanliness of the unit. Maintain appropriate stock levels for complex interventions and diagnostic procedures.


• Complete daily, progress and discharge documentation according to departmental standards. Accurately document productivity information.


• Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives. Identify potential areas for improvement including processes that could be streamlined or revised to improve patient satisfaction. Identify potential safety hazards that may create problems for patients and/or staff, and take appropriate actions.

Your experience.

We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.


• Current Registered ARRT or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist RCIS within 18 months of hire or Registered Respiratory Therapist with CV specific certification or RCIS or RCES.


• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.


• Current ACLS certification.


• Current Surgery Tech license in the state of Colorado.

Preferred:

• Associateâ™s Degree.


• At least two (2) years of experience in Cardiology/Cath Lab.
