JOB SUMMARY: The Nursing Professional Development Specialist (NPDS) takes a leadership role in system level nursing education programs and professional development. Using expertise in education and professional development practices, the NPDS functions autonomously and in collaboration with staff, nursing leadership, Clinical Resource Nurses, faculty, and researchers to develop, implement and evaluate professional development programs that influence role competence, professional growth, and lifelong learning in a variety of practice settings. The NPDS promotes synergistic practices to achieve optimal patient outcomes throughout the organization.
