Medical Instrument Technician (EKG)
If you are not a current, permanent VA employee or Federal employee from another agency, you should apply to CBST-11231181-DL This Medical Instrument Technician (EKG) position is located in the Cardio Respiratory Section of the Specialty Care Service. The incumbent operates and monitors electrocardiographic equipment to perform specialized examinations and studies involving exercise stress testing, ambulatory monitoring of arrhythmias, and other cardiac related procedures on chronic patients. The MIT (EKG) performs the full range of Electrocardiograms diagnostic procedures and related examinations, monitors tracings to identify arrhythmias and when gross abnormalities appear; when to repeat certain procedures, when to stop procedures, and when to get the immediate attention of a physician
