The Lebanon VA Medical Center is currently recruiting for one full-time Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to serve in the Medicine Care Service Line. The NP is responsible for the assessment, planning, and provision of care for patients enrolled in the Cardiology program and for inpatients with a Cardiology consultation. The NP is also responsible for collaborating with the interdisciplinary Cardiology Team in order to provide care to a caseload of patients and support the Cardiology Physicians. Key duties and responsibilities of the Cardiology Nurse Practitioner include but are not limited to: Assesses the status of Cardiology patients, planning, intervening and evaluating indicated actions Engages interdisciplinary team members in improving the treatment plans of their population of Cardiology patients Supports an atmosphere where caring for Veterans is the foremost concept Provides and coordinates quality care to fulfill performance expectations Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement and evaluate goals and objectives for cardiology Facilitates optimal orientation and clinical competence of program staff through preceptor and mentor activities Appropriately documents own interventions and reviews appropriate health team documentation of patient treatment plans with the Cardiologist when indicated to treat changes in the patient's condition Recognizes complex situations that impact patient care and intervenes, using sound judgment, professional attitude, interdisciplinary, supervisory, and appropriate channels Participates in establishing policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure adequate, comprehensive services Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm Financial Disclosure Report: Not required Recruitment/Relocation Incentives: Not Authorized Permanent Change of Station (PCS): Not Authorized
