This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Learn more Work Schedule: 8:00am - 4:30pm Financial Disclosure Report: Not required The Staff Cardiologist, Cardiology Section, Medical Service has the responsibility for providing both inpatient and outpatient clinical cardiology care, teaching medical staff, cardiology fellows, and residents as well as sub-specialty services, as applicable. Such examples of subspecialty care could include cardioversions, reading echocardiograms, EKGs or event monitors. Administrative: The Staff Cardiologist will be involved in the set-up and administration of a new Amyloidosis Clinic. This will include overseeing outreach, workflow in the clinic, and workflow for outpatient management. Clinical: The incumbent is expected to maintain an appropriate clinical workload which may include: Outpatient Clinic Inpatient Service Attending Subspecialty consultations Subspecialty procedures Training and Education: As a staff cardiologist he/she, provides training to medical students, residents, and fellows.
