A. Minimum Education: Minimum one year college with additional education in echocardiography preferred. Graduation from an accredited school in cardiovascular or electrodiagnostic technology. Current Certification by the American Heart Association in Basic Life Support. B.Minimum Experience: Minimum one year experience in Echocardiography and knowledge of all phases of cardiac diagnostic testing (non-invasive), i.e., EKGï¿½s, holters, treadmills, and echoes and knowledge of basic adult, pediatric and infant cardiac anatomy and physiology as well as knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias preferred. C. Preferred Skills and Abilities: Must be able to communicate with patients during testing for cooperation during maneuvers. Must be able to coordinate activities with others in the department to assure cooperation within.Must be able to take calls for Stat Echocardiograms and TMST on weekends and after 6:30 PM during the week on a rotating basis.
