We currently have an open position for a Pediatric Electrophysiology Nurse/Care Coordinator at Rady Children's Hospital San Diego Heart Institute. The Electrophysiology (EP) Care Coordinator is an RN who works as part of the EP team. The RN will have multiple responsibilities as part of the care of patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. Patient care duties will include involvement in diagnostic and interventional EP procedures in the catheterization laboratory; overall care coordination of EP patients in conjunction with EP physicians and other Heart Institute faculty and staff of patients in the Acute Cardiac Unit; management of patients with pacemakers, defibrillators, and invasive monitoring devices; management and coordination of ambulatory monitoring devices. Teaching duties will include regular teaching of nursing staff, cardiology faculty and fellows, and other care providers involved with EP patients.
Associate’s degree or Nursing diploma; BSN preferred
Current California RN license
Previous pediatric EP and critical care experience
PALS required and ACLS preferred
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
