Summary of Job Function: The Monitoring Technician is responsible for on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and provides RNs and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms. The technician delivers telemetry to in patient units and performs monitor connection/discharge, patient preparation, and teaching related to the monitor.
Job Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Telemetry and/or successful completion of a cardiac dysrhythmia course preferred. Successful completion of all Orientation Programs
