* Perform CT scans and general radiography according to accepted department protocols and hospital policy and procedures. * Obtain patient history, prepare patient for the exam, explain exam, and ensure patient cooperation during the study. * Ensures safety of patients by following established guidelines for IV, oral, and rectal contrast administration. * Ability to perform routine CT scans, CTA’s, CT guided biopsies and 3D reconstructions. Demonstrate working knowledge of the Toshiba 64 slice CT scanner with Med Rad Stellant Power Injector. * Communicates effectively with ancillary areas and internal staff. * Maintains a positive attitude and promotes teamwork at all times.
One year CT scanning experience in acute care hospital setting. Graduation from approved school for Radiologic Technology. Associate degree in Radiologic Technology is preferred. Computer skills, operating RIS/HIS/PACS, medical terminology, and good communications skills. ARRT(R)(CT) Certification CDPH- CA State License (CRT) in Radiologic Technology
