The Special Procedures Technologist (RT) directs and performs imaging-assigned services to a patient population ranging in age from adolescent through geriatric. In addition, the Special Procedures Technologist ( RT) may assist the physician by monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data as related to therapeutic diagnostic procedures in the Cardiovascular Lab. The Special Procedures Technologist(RT) will assist in patient care and preparation of the lab by performing routine and delegated technical and clerical duties according to SMMC performance standards and department policy.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas as an Invasive Radiological Technologist (RT) and Scrub Role:
·One year experience in a Radiologic setting
·Effective communication and interpersonal skills
·One year experience in the Cath Lab, Vascular Lab and/or EP Lab preferred.
·Arrhythmia recognition and hemodynamic monitoring skills preferred.
