The Stroke Coordinator coordinates the Stroke Program throughout the facility. This includes, but is not limited to, data collection, analysis, monitoring, evaluation submission via the Get With the Guidelines AHA software program.
Responsibilities will include:
Serving as Chairperson of the Stroke Steering Committee and preparing all necessary documents for monthly meeting
Collaborating with other departments, such as lab and radiology to improve processes related to stroke indicators
Revising and updating Standard of Care for Acute Stroke consistent with "best practice" and current ASA/AHA guidelines
Coordinating education for staff related to signs, symptoms and treatment of TIA and Stroke
BSN and Master's Degree
3-5 Years of Acute Med-Surg and DOH Stroke Program experience
Ability to create Excel spreadsheets and utilize the Software Program from the Get With the Guidelines DOH program
Excellent communication skills
