Areas of Responsibility: The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following areas (subject to change): •Complete full physical exam, obtain complete medical history and records including identifying data, chief complaints, illnesses, previous medical or family histories, or psychosocial characteristics •Interpret and integrate data to determine diagnosis and therapeutic plan •Collaborate with other physicians in managing acute and log-term medical needs of patient •Full range of standard interventional pain procedures •Regenerative medicine therapies a plus •Examines patients to determine discomfort level and cause of pain •Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies •Diagnoses and treats diseases, disorders and injuries based on patient’s medical history and results of physical assessment to determine extent of pain, help diagnose condition, or manage pain •Instructs and counsels patients regarding procedures performed; always promoting wellness and health maintenance •Maintains a positive attitude, is compassionate and has great communication and problem-solving skills •Provides relief from acute or chronic pain through the use of medications, nerve blocks, electrical stimulation, or other therapies •Coordinates additional care such as physical therapy, psychological therapy, and rehabilitation programs to offer patients a comprehensive treatment plan with a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of their pain •Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations •Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols •Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions •Upholds company vision and values •Performs other duties consistent with the above responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications: •Graduate of an accredited school of medicine •Graduate of an accredited Pain Medicine, Program, preferred •Fellowship experience preferred •Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint •Current M.D. licensure in the state of California |
Additional Salary Information: Salary Dependent on Experience.
