ResponsibilitiesIncumbent provides expertise required to monitor Interoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring (IONM) cases in the operating room, which may include, but not limited to SSEP, Motor Evoked Potentials, EMG, EEG, functional critical mapping, ABR, facial nerve, etc. In addition, this position is also expected to cover other inpatient and outpatient areas of the EEG Lab as appropriate. It is expected that the individual show self-direction and initiative with minimal supervision. The applicant must have the abilities and understanding necessary to work with complex neurodiagnostic EEG equipment and software. The IONM Technologist must be flexible enough to learn new and advanced protocols when needed. IONM Technologists should serve as resources for junior staff. The IONM Technologist is expected to take responsibility for certain specific aspects of laboratory organization and serve as the lead lab team member in those individual areas of responsibility.
QualificationsThe applicant must be able to work with complex neurodiagnostic EEG equipment and software. Minimum of 3 years IOM experience Must hold an R.EEGT; CNIM preferred. Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystem
