In this role, the Cardiac Sonographer will perform outpatient transthoracic echocardiograms in neonates and other pediatric patients using ultrasound technology. By gathering diagnostic images and other medical data, the Cardiac Sonographer will assist the cardiologist in reaching a medical diagnosis and treatment plan.
To qualify, you must be a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from the ARDMS with an emphasis in Pediatric Echocardiography and have completed the necessary CME required for the current 3-year licensing period. Strong written/verbal communication, problem-solving, customer service, prioritizing and organization skills are essential, as is the ability to maintain confidentiality, work as a team player and work independently while meeting deadlines. Knowledge of digital echocardiography systems, IAC standards and requirements, safety principles and procedures, and related computer systems/software is also required. Ideal candidates will have 2-5 years of experience in a high volume pediatric echocardiography laboratory. May be required to travel to other affiliated locations to meet coverage needs.
