Must be able to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards when no directions are given . Must be emotionally mature and be able to function effectively under stress. Is familiar with medical terminology , have organizational and secretarial skills and have knowledge of computers. Has ability to pay attention to detail while working on several tasks simultaneously. Must possess ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public. Requires good interpersonal skills, and able to effectively function in fast-paced environment with multiple demands/deadlines. Is oriented to all patient care departments and able to function proficiently. Is responsible for providing observation of electrocardiograms of monitored patients; noting and documenting rate and rhythm and modifying RN immediately of changes to ensure appropriate follow up and /or intervention. Utilizes the HMS-MM system to order and replace supplies and equipment. Provides the department with the Tech/clerk schedules for staffing purposes and serves as preceptor for incoming Techs/Clerks.

OUR SYMBOL Reflects the healing ministry of Jesus Christ - a combination of a medical cross and a religious cross. The flowing banner on the cross is a common symbol of the risen Christ, while the royal purple signifies Christ. The flowing banner also conveys a sense of motion as we move forward into a new era of service to our communities.
